Hello Sweet Justice!

My normal reel page includes a lot of trailers for shows and film’s I’ve worked on, so I made this page of just a few clips to check out, as well as a full animated short.

The Monarch: Legacy of Monsters clips showcases kaiju fighting on a massive scale. All sound effects and design were created by me, with the exception of the creature vocals in the beach scene. I cut all of the creature vocals in the first clip as well, based on designs from Skywalker Sound (Kong) and Ben Cook (Titan X), embellished with extra design from me. The 45 minute episodes were cut and designed in 7 to 10 days by me, so the challenge was creating huge impactful sounds, covering all details, and still caring for all of the “normal” sound effects editorial work, in a timely manner relying on gut instinct. Elements were often pre-designed using tools like Radium in Soundminer, and I pre-dubbed everything, from panning to eq to reverbs, as I cut.

The Clash of Clans commercials are fun examples of short form work I’ve done, designing and mixing with phone viewing in mind, and keeping the work light hearted.

The full animated short film has hardly any dialogue, and goes from quiet and delicate to dangerously bombastic and back. Care was put into differentiating between cold and warm atmospheres, and using sound design to make us feel what our main character is going through, from sad longing to terror.

The Orville season 3 was a fun show to work on, and required restraint to stay within the established style of their universe.
