Thunder & Wet City Ambiences
Yesterday we got some much needed rain in Los Angeles, and of course I got my microphones out to record. I just put them up really quick pointing out my bedroom window, and I got some rolling thunder, along with wet city ambiences at night, and some rain. I live near a freeway, and the water on the road seemed to make the traffic extra loud and tonal. These were recorded with a pair of Line Audio CM3’s in ORTF and a Sound Devices MixPre 6 II.
